Pope Benedict XVI has recently apologized for the sexual abuse of young children in the Church of Ireland. He said "Your trust has been betrayed and your dignity has been violated... I openly express the shame and remorse that we all feel" and continued with "He said those guilty of abuse must "answer before God and properly constituted tribunals for the sinful and criminal actions they have committed"; just like they have for centuries. Despite countless reports of child abuse by Catholic leaders all over the world this is the first statement by the Pope of it's kind. The Pope didn't even ask for the bishops involved to surrender their positions at the church. I don't know about you but this pisses me off. Ever since its creation the Catholic church has been responsible for the abuse of hundreds of children and they are just now getting around to apologizing about it. The only reason they're doing it now is because they realize that they can't hide it any longer, so they're going to cut the offenders loose and let them defend themselves against the media fire. Plus they are going to just look the other way when it comes to other world-wide accounts. How much longer is the Church going to be above the law that all other humans on the planet have to follow, for no other reason than because they claim to serve an almighty creator. It blows my mind that people have put up with this crap for all these years. Crusades, witch-burnings, the Dark Ages, and child abuse. So how much longer before people stop looking past all the traitorous acts against mankind and open their eyes to see what the hierarchy of this hateful organization is really doing?

I was reading an article about a Iraqi female detonating an explosive device near a group of pilgrims, when I asked myself how much longer will we have to put up with this crap. War, poverty, lies, and corruption are among many things that are in religions hands, and it has plagued us for thousands of years. To think at how much more advanced we might be were it not for religion. We might of been on the moon in 1862, but because of religious slave owners, we were just about to free blacks. Religion has crucified people, burned women, sent children to war, and flown planes into large towers all because a magical being in the clouds told them to. But hey, it's a good thing he didn't tell them to do anything logical or constructive, or we might have a bunch of skeptical free-thinkers on our hands. All religion does is try to scare people, weather it be abstinence programs in schools or strapping a bomb to your chest and walking into the market. I have hope that one day mankind won't be divided because of religion, sexuality, or color; that some day we might learn to live together.

I don't know about you, but i'm getting sick of hearing about how Obama has destroyed the country or will destroy it. He hasn't been in office a year yet, and people still think he messed up. Bush, now thats a different story. Bush was probably one of the worst presidents in U.S history. He spent eight years looking for Bin Laden in the wrong country. Now, I do know what Iraq was like before we came in, but we should have focused on Bin Laden first. If Obama spends the next four years watching grass grow he will have done a better job than Bush. Now i do also understand that Bush was faced with a tought choice, but he really messed up. But we should be thankful that it was Bush, not Palin.

    For those of you who don't watch the news, a maniac attacked Fort Hood. Maj. Nidel Hasan was most likly going to be transfered to the Middle East. For some reason he didn't like this idea so at 1:00 pm on November 5 so he went on a shooting rampage killing 13 people. A further 30 people were injured as well. The local police were eventually able to shoot him down. For awhile he was thought by the media to have been killed, but we later find out he survived. Maj. Hasan was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center where it was announced he was in a coma, however he regained consciousness. I think he needs to be tried to the fullest extent of the law. He needs to be made an example of, so that other terrorist want try anything stupid.

     A Georgia man is being charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Mr.Paul Marchuk III was sitting on a plane from Seattle to Atlanta when he started shouting bible verses and grabbing other passengers. He also wouldn't let the woman sitting next to him go to the bathroom. It took 6 passengers and a stewardess to hold him down until they made an emergency landing in Nashville. Now im all for freedom of speech, but i think this guy crossed the line. You can believe what you want to, but when you cause a plane to make an emergency landing you need to take it down a level

About 8 years ago one of the worst attacks on this nation took place. From 8:46 to 10:28 four airplanes were hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorist. Two of these were crashed into the World Trade Center, and one was crashed into the pentagon. The final plane crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers tried to retake the plane. You may ask " why is he taking time to talk about this now"? well its because 2995 people died in that attack, leaving thousands of grieving families to suffer. Now, i think the muslims get a bad reputation for this, so let me be perfectly clear. ALL RELIGIONS HAVE EXTREMIST!!!Not just muslims. Jews, Hindus, Buddhist,and even Christians.But that doesn't change the fact that what they did was one of the most horrible attacks in history.

A 9 year old girl was raped by her stepfather recently. She was pregnant with twins, so her mother took her to have an abortion.As members of the catholic church, all who took part in the abortion, doctors as well, were excommunicated. This is insane!!!Not only would the girl die, but so would the twins. I personally am not in favor of abortion, but i think in some cases it is acceptable. In my opinion the mother made the right decision.
